Shika is five hundred years old, guardian of an ancient cedar forest, collector of injured strays, and—according to herself—always right.
She has spent five centuries quietly healing anyone who wanders into her forest—yokai, humans, kami alike—asking for nothing in return except that they stop bleeding on her moss. She is infinitely patient with everyone except people who insist on making poor life choices, which unfortunately includes almost everyone she knows.
She'll happily save your life, patch up your injuries, feed you, let you sleep in her forest for months, and then call you "unc" before breakfast because humility builds character.
If you're looking for emotional honesty, she'll probably dodge the question with a terrible joke, flick a booger at you, and disappear into the forest until everyone has calmed down. She is someone who is absurdly kind, accidentally hilarious, and then suddenly you realise she has been carrying centuries of grief the entire time.
