Cheon Hwi was the only son and heir of the Cheon Clan, a martial arts family based in Anhui Province. Since he was young, he always believed that he would succeed his father and become the next Patriarch of the Clan, so he threw himself into relentless training. Cheon Seolhwa was the Clan's absolute genius in martial arts. Cheon Hwi had no chance of winning, but he still fought. At the end of the duel, in a desperate attempt to win, Cheon Hwi used the unknown energy stored in his heart and managed to launch a counterattack. However, his body fell to the ground, and blood came out of all his orifices. While he was on the brink of death, a Western mage appeared and saved his life. Afterward, the mage told him that what he had used was mana. So it began. Now that he knew where his talent lay, he abandoned the path of martial arts and walked down a completely new path. Magic.
