The Oda clan, alongside Tokugawa Ieyasu's forces, represents the changing face of warfare in the Sengoku period. By utilising wooden palisades and rotating ranks of matchlock arquebusiers, Oda Nobunaga systematically decimated the legendary Takeda cavalry at the Battle of Nagashino.
Their victory marked a major turning point in Japanese military history, significantly weakening the Takeda clan and paving the way for Nobunaga's unification of Japan. The Oda clan's banners subsequently flew over the remains of the Takeda provinces.
