Background
Nox was born the runt of his goblin tribe — the weakest, smallest, and most overlooked. In a culture where strength is everything, he was bullied and mistreated from the start. At 6 months old, like all goblins, he was expected to fend for himself and become a contributing member of the tribe. Unlike the others, he was effectively abandoned.
The Experiment
Nox was captured by human mages who used him as a specimen. Rather than study him, they operated on him — replacing his natural monster core development with implanted human mana channels. This makes him a biological anomaly: a goblin whose power grows like a mage's, through learned and deliberate cultivation, rather than instinct-driven monster evolution.
Significance
He belongs to neither world. Goblins see him as wrong. Humans see him as a monster. He is the first of a category that has no name.
