The Resonance of Greed
Synopsis
Japan, 2006. The economy is waking from its lost decade, fortunes are made in a morning, and the country's most celebrated young tycoon is about to learn how quickly it can all be taken away.
Hisa Tomoya is nineteen, brilliant and penniless. He gave up a place at the best university in the country to keep the people he loved afloat, and he has been paying for it ever since. Then, on the worst night of his life, he is offered a single wish by something that should not exist. He does not ask for gold, which can be frozen or stolen. He asks for something no one can take from him.
What he gets is a gift with rules, a cruel sense of humour attached, and a price he has not yet begun to understand. Now a boy from the back streets of Saitama is heading for the Tokyo boardrooms where the real decisions are made, armed with a secret that could make him untouchable, or destroy him.
