Synopsis

Sixteen year old Shin haunted by a family tragedy and deeply resentful of his father the charismatic and highly manipulative Prime Minister of Japan Shin lives alone, perfectly content to stay out of the spotlight. But his carefully constructed isolation crumbles when a persistently warm transfer student named Hori decides they are going to be friends. Before he knows it, Shin is pulled into a tight knit circle of six misfits dubbed the "Rooftop Alliance." For the first time in years, Shin starts to feel like he belongs. Then, the urban legends start circulating. Whispers of entire schools vanishing without a trace. It all sounds like a ghost story until the lights on their afternoon train flicker, the doors lock, and the cars plunge into complete darkness.
