The Variance

 A secret organization called HICP, the Human Intelligence Center Program, attempts to copy human DNA with the concept of butterfly wings to create a perfect human being. 

     Though they did not create a perfect human being, instead they created a creature that spreads a contagious and deadly disease within the country of Billingtor. HICP releases the virus freely into the population, believing it is the best way to handle Billingtor’s large population instead. HICP itself believes there is a cure already made by the creator of the virus, but there isn’t. Now, people are dying while others become infected. 

      While the virus spreads, people begin to find cracks beneath the surface about their own government, revealing nothing but corruption. These different people are all the main characters, and their narratives, very different from each other, soon all tie together.
