How did we get here

At Simona’s House follows two best friends, Simona and Mavis, as they grow up in a small village in Botswana while facing poverty, family struggles, school difficulties, friendship, and love.

Simona lives with her grandmother, Mma Tumedi, while her mother is away trying to complete her education and build a better future for their family. Mavis, despite having her own problems at home, constantly tries to support Simona and her grandmother. Their friendship becomes one of the strongest parts of their lives as they help each other through difficult moments.

As they grow older, their lives begin to change. They experience new friendships, complicated relationships, heartbreak, responsibilities, and opportunities that take them beyond the lives they once knew. The two best friends eventually become successful and financially stable, achieving things they once only dreamed about.

However, becoming rich does not mean their problems disappear. They still face family difficulties, pressure, disappointment, changes in relationships, and challenges that come with adulthood. Their success changes their circumstances, but it does not protect them from life.

Through everything, Simona and Mavis remain connected by the friendship that began when they had almost nothing. Their journey shows that success is not only about money or where you end up, but also about the people who stood beside you when you had nothing and the strength you gain from everything you went through.
