Between Worlds

Synopsis

Morgan was just trying to make it through another day. A husband, a father, and a former Ranger, he had a wife waiting at home, children who needed him, and a life that was far from perfect—but it was his. Then, in the middle of his living room, Morgan disappears. He awakens in another world surrounded by magic, knights, and a group of Japanese students who have apparently been summoned before. The kingdom calls them heroes. Morgan calls it kidnapping. Unlike the others, Morgan has no interest in fighting a Demon Lord, serving a king, or becoming some legendary hero. He just wants to go home to his family. But the kingdom's story doesn't add up. Why has this happened before? Why are people from different worlds being summoned? Why are some of the summoned never allowed to return? And why does Morgan have a feeling that the kingdom isn't telling them everything? With the help of another soldier named Dre, Morgan begins searching for answers while learning to survive in a world where magic is real and his own abilities may be far more dangerous than he understands. Back on Earth, Morgan's son refuses to believe his father simply disappeared. As he digs deeper into old reports of unexplained disappearances, he discovers something that shouldn't exist—and begins to suspect that his father may not be missing at all. Two worlds. Two sides searching for the truth. And a system that has been operating for far longer than either of them realizes. Morgan has one goal: **Get home.** But getting home may mean tearing down the entire system that brought him there.
