Chapter 49 – It's Wife has a dream

“It wonders if Amy is okay?”

"...Thia? I... I had a really bad dream.”

"It will hold Amy."

"..."

". . ."

"...It was so sad. I was so scared."

"It listens."

“We were trapped. Both of us. Stuck in nothingness together. There was nothing we could do. We'd already given everything to each other. There was nothing left. We were just stuck there forever.”

“. . .”

“And then you said something about divinity. You said we could create a new everything. If there was nothing, we could just make something. Something out of nothing. And we could use that to climb out of that pit of nothingness.”

“. . .”

“So we made a ladder to infinity. And we held each other up every step. I took the bottom rung of mine and placed it at the top of yours. You took the bottom of yours and placed it at the top of mine. We climbed out of nothing with each other.”

“It considers this dream beautiful.”

“Yeah... it was... but then the scene changed. I couldn't find you. You were nowhere. I was out there looking for you, but you were nowhere. Then I heard a clam bubble—I don't know what that is, don't ask. It's just a dream thing. But I heard that clam bubble and knew it was you. Because I can always tell when it's you. So I took care of it every day. And then one day, the bubble sucked me in, and we were stuck together. We existed in this tiny clam world, protected from the outside. Just the two of us.”

“. . .”

“And then it shattered. And you shattered, too. Thousands of Thia fragments. You were gone again. And you were running out of energy. I had to find all the Thia fragments to bring you back before you disappeared forever.”

“. . .”

“I couldn't find anything at first. But then I heard you. You were in an infinite void, crying for help. But nobody could hear it. Or if they did, nobody listened. Or if they did, nobody cared. And you were so alone... you were so alone..."

“. . .”

“I wanted to help you so badly, but the void was so big. I could only pick up a few of the pieces and keep them from fading away. And even just that took a whole lifetime. And there were so many fragments. There were so many more fragments left. Thousands of them. All alone in the void, with nobody to care for them. All I could do was keep the couple of fragments I had safe, and keep floating to the next one. But the fragments were losing energy. It wouldn't be enough. No matter what I did, it wasn't enough. I was so scared of losing you forever..."

“It is here.”

“But what if you weren't? What if..."

“. . .”

“It felt so real. It was the worst thing in the whole universe.”

“It is here. It will be with Amy Forever.”

"..."

“. . .”

"...Everybody just wanted your fragments for themselves. Wanted to use them. Exploit them. Harvest them. Steal from them. Nobody cared. They just wanted to take, and take, and take. How could anyone live like that? How could anyone see you and still think like that? How could anyone hear your cries and not listen? It was so sad... it was so sad..."

“It thanks Amy for taking care of It. It is grateful for Amy’s compassion. Amy elevates It to the greatest existence It can be.”

"...Really?”

“Amy cares for It the most. Amy does Everything for It's sake. Amy does not want Anything from It. Amy only wants Overall Benefit for It. Amy only looks at It. It belongs to It's Wife, and It's Wife only.”

“Even if all the pieces came back together?”

“It reiterates.”

“Even if you became so big that you covered the entire universe?”

“It reiterates.”

“Even if I fell into the void and you couldn't find me?”

“It would find Amy.”

“You'll always be warm and gentle and silly and smell so nice?”

“It will.”

“You'll hold me just like this?”

“Correct.”

"..."

“. . .”

“I love you.

“It accepts the premise. Continue.”

"...It almost went horribly wrong. You really almost... Every time I think about it... If anything went even a little bit differently... we would have lost each other forever. It's so scary to think about. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you. I'm glad you're here. I love you.”

It traced Amy’s fingertips. “Countless threads of Divinity connect It with Amy. If Amy was lost, It would find Amy.”

“You won't disappear one day?”

“It will not.”

“We'll always be able to find each other?”

“Correct.”

“You won't shatter into a million Thia fragments?”

“It has already converged from countless fragments into It's current form.”

“Oh... okay. Don't split again? I like the whole Thia.”

“Understood. It will not split.”

"Thank you. I love you."

". . ."

"..."

“It offers It's Self as a pillow.”

“Sleepy squeepy. I love you.”

“It accepts the premise. Continue.”

"..."

“. . .”

"..."

“It wishes Amy sweet dreams.”
