Chapter 65 – A letter from Dad
Chapter 65 – A letter from Dad
Hey, kiddo,
If you’re seeing this, it means that dad is already gone from the world. It’s a shame… because now, more than ever, dad really wishes he could be there for you. Dad knows you must be going through a lot right now—that you’re probably feeling a lot of feelings that don’t make sense and that you haven’t felt before… and that things must be really confusing for you at the moment. But I just want you to know… that dad’s always loved you.
From the very first day that you entered this world, dad’s loved you. When you made your first set of terms, dad loved you. When we made our last terms, dad loved you. And even though I’m gone, dad loves you still. And dad will keep loving you forever. No matter what happens in the future, dad will still keep loving you. No matter how you feel… no matter what anyone says, just know that dad has loved you from the start, and dad will keep loving you even after the end.
Dad knows you don’t believe in forever, but you can believe in dad. So when I say I’ll love you forever, you can trust that dad means it. And when dad says I’ll be here for you forever… whenever you need it… any time at all… you can believe that, too. You can believe dad, because that’s just how dads are. We love our daughters. I love my Thia. Both of my Thias. And Amy, too. Make sure you take care of her, okay? I know Amy’s going to be really upset… but I also know she’s going to be putting on a strong face for you. So, Thia… try to help her out and be there for her when you can. She really loves you, and she’s always doing her best for you… so try to do your best for her too, alright? Not that you need me to tell you… It’s just dad nagging again.
But anyways, that’s about all dad has to say… short and sweet. Just a quick little I love you, and a goodbye from dad.
…Well, maybe just one last thing.
I know we can’t make terms any more… but if you can make an exception, then dad has just one final request…
Dad asks that you live the happiest life you can, Thia.
Be well. Be happy.
I love you forever,
– Dad
