Chapter 1 — The Second Life

Lin Yue had never believed that life could end without warning.

That night, he was walking alone through the city. The streets were filled with the sounds of cars, distant conversations, and the wind moving between the buildings.

Then everything stopped.

The noise disappeared.

Lin Yue stopped walking.

“...What happened?”

The streetlights began to flicker.

A strange blue light appeared in front of him.

He slowly stepped backward.

A mysterious voice echoed through the darkness.

“Your first life has come to an end.”

Lin Yue stared at the blue light.

“What do you mean?”

The light suddenly expanded.

“Your second life begins now.”

An invisible force pulled him toward it.

“Wait!”

Lin Yue tried to resist, but the force became stronger.

The blue light swallowed him completely.

Then—

Everything went dark.

When Lin Yue opened his eyes again, he was lying on the ground.

He slowly sat up.

The city was gone.

There were no buildings. No cars. No people.

Instead, an enormous forest surrounded him. Towering mountains disappeared into the clouds, and strange glowing particles floated through the air.

Lin Yue stared at the unfamiliar world.

“...This isn't Earth.”

Suddenly, a mechanical voice sounded inside his mind.

[INFINITE PRACTICE SYSTEM ACTIVATED.]

Lin Yue froze.

[Welcome, Host.]

[Daily Practice Reward: 10 Years.]

His eyes widened.

“A system?”

For the first time since arriving in this strange world, Lin Yue smiled.

“If this is really my second life...”

He looked toward the distant mountains.

“Then I'll make sure this life becomes something extraordinary.”

Far above him, a massive shadow moved through the clouds.

A deep dragon roar echoed across the mountains.

Lin Yue looked toward the sky.

His expression became serious.

He had no idea that his arrival had already awakened something ancient.

And his journey had only just begun.
