Brian had failed one of his examinations.
He was devastated.
“I don't think I can continue,” he said.
David sat beside him.
“Don't say that.”
“I'm not good enough.”
“You failed one examination, not your entire life.”
Brian looked at him.
“What if I fail again?”
“Then we study harder.”
David helped him create a study timetable.
They spent weeks studying together.
When the results came out, Brian had passed.
He hugged David.
“You're not just my friend.”
“What am I?”
“My brother.”
David smiled.
Their friendship had survived distance.
But another relationship was slowly becoming distant.
