CHAPTER FORTY — THE NAME

They named her Hope.

Because after everything they had experienced, hope had always brought them back to each other.

Hope grew quickly.

She learned to walk.

She learned to speak.

She learned to laugh.

And she loved watching movies with her parents.

One evening, she asked:

“Why do you always watch old movies?”

David looked at Marilyn.

Marilyn smiled.

“Because some stories never get old.”

Hope looked confused.

“Why?”

David laughed.

“One day, we'll tell you.”
