Chapter 24 — The archangels champions

The celestial architecture of Archangel Castiel’s domain did not glow with the warm, golden light of traditional heavens. Instead, it burned with a blinding, sterile luminescence—a stark, towering expanse of white marble and hyper-dimensional glass that stretched endlessly into a pale, cloudless void. The atmosphere here was thick, heavy with an absolute, unyielding pressure that made even the concept of breathing feel like a privilege granted by divine decree.

Fresh off his brutal subjugation of Elder God Hera’s sanctuary, True Demon Gogeta had firmly established his ruthless hierarchy among the fractured elite, but miles away across the cosmic gulfs, a far more terrifying assembly was gathering.

Standing at the high balcony of the central white-stone citadel, Archangel Castiel swept his piercing gaze across his chosen vanguard. The air around him shimmered with dangerous static, his blue-skinned visage set in a rigid, unforgiving scowl as he prepared to deliver his commands for the looming clash against Elder God Chronoa’s forces.

At the forefront stood a figure whose very presence warped the local space-time fabric. Omni Vegito—an anomalous fusion from a ruined, forgotten timeline who had taken the ultimate, blasphemous step of fusing with the Omni-King himself, ascending into the role of the Omni Ruler. He stood tall and imposing, draped in the distinct, vibrant purple and yellow garments characteristic of Zeno’s attire, perfectly fitted to his towering mortal frame. His hair was a pure, cascading white, framing a face touched by an arrogant, unbothered smirk, while his eyes burned with an empty, terrifying white luminescence known throughout the higher dimensions as the White Seraphim.

Beside him loomed Dragon God Piccolo, a colossal entity who had transcended his mortal origins in the very same timeline, evolving into a divine dragon god matching the ancient scale and cosmic majesty of Zalama himself. His scaled form radiated an abyssal, green-gold heat that gently cracked the pristine marble floor beneath his claws.

Just a few paces back stood Grand Minister Gohan, a variant who had bypassed every mortal limit to become the supreme Grand Priest under Omni Vegito. He wore the immaculate, flowing blue and white ceremonial vestments of the angelic hierarchy, his expression a mask of chilling, serene professionalism, concealing depths of boundless divine authority.

Flanking the heavy hitters was an adult Goten, clad in a unique, form-fitting black and gold gi laced with volatile divine seals, his suppressed ki humming with unstable, hidden transformations waiting to be unleashed. Next to him stood Jiren, arms crossed over his chest, his eyes closed as a dense, suffocating aura of absolute power radiated outward like a physical wall.

And finally, positioned slightly behind Omni Vegito with a striking, inherited arrogance, stood Xicor—reimagined in this fractured timeline not as an abomination, but as the direct son of the Omni Ruler, his silver-white hair and sharp, thorn-like spikes mirroring his father's terrifying lineage.

Castiel turned from the balcony, his sharp wings twitching with suppressed agitation as he addressed his elite.

"Listen closely," Castiel commanded, his voice echoing off the vaulted white ceilings with an icy resonance. "The drawing is complete. The next round of the tournament has been officially cast by Zeus. It will be between my forces and that wretched witch Chronoa's champions."

Omni Vegito let out a low, amused scoff, the white glow within his eyes flaring with a blinding intensity that cast long, distorted shadows across the chamber.

"Chronoa?" Omni Vegito rumbled, his voice carrying a dual-layered resonance that vibrated directly inside the minds of everyone present. "The self-appointed guardian of time thinks her little clockwork soldiers can stand against the peak of existence? How deeply amusing. She builds sandcastles and expects them to weather a supernova."

Dragon God Piccolo didn't shift his massive bulk, his deep, resonant voice rumbling through the hall like grinding tectonic plates. "Let her send whoever she pleases. Time itself bends to divine will, and we have rewritten history more times than her pathetic archive can hold."

Grand Minister Gohan adjusted his collar with clinical precision, his silver halo spinning smoothly above his head. "The parameters of the match are irrelevant, Lord Vegito," Gohan stated calmly, his tone devoid of any warmth. "Whether it is a war of attrition or a swift execution, the outcome was written the moment Castiel entered us into the bracket."

Goten smirked, a crackle of untamed energy sparking across his black gi as he flexed his fingers. "Good. I was getting tired of just staring at these white walls. Let's show them what happens when you cross the ultimate vanguard."

Xicor stepped forward, a sharp, predatory grin spreading across his face as he locked eyes with Omni Vegito. "Father... leave at least one of them standing for me. I want to test if their blood is as divine as they claim."

Jiren remained entirely silent, his eyes snapping open to reveal a gaze heavier than a collapsing star, offering a single, definitive nod.

Castiel watched his champions with a cold, triumphant smirk. Chronoa might have thought herself clever, but she was about to step into an arena governed by gods who ate timelines for breakfast.
