Chapter 15 — The Reveal of an Elder God

The frozen starlight of the abyssal sea fractured into a billion spinning shards as the shifting mass of liquid shadow and primordial stone suddenly collapsed inward. In a blinding flash of emerald radiance and crackling white lightning, the shapeless horror condensed, shifting down into a towering humanoid form that descended slowly onto the obsidian shoreline.

The air itself groaned under his approach. Elder God Posaiden stood before them, a towering titan carved from absolute majesty and terrifying authority. He was draped in opulent garments of deep emerald and gleaming gold, heavy silk robes embroidered with cosmic constellations that seemed to drift and shift in real time. Thick, violent arcs of divine lightning crackled endlessly around his broad shoulders, snapping violently against the obsidian stones and scorching the moss into ash.

As Posaiden's presence fully settled over the domain, the five champions didn’t just feel pressure—they felt reality bend.

Goku’s knees buckled instantly. He slammed both palms against the ground, his teeth gritted so hard a line of crimson blood leaked from his lip. Beside him, Vegeta let out a strangled grunt, his entire body forced downward into a brutal, humiliating half-kneel as if the gravity of an entire super-cluster had been concentrated onto his spine. Gohan was flat on his stomach, his breath entirely trapped in his lungs, while Jiren’s unbreakable composure shattered as his arms trembled violently under the crushing invisible weight. Even Yamoshi, the ancient warrior of primal legends, was forced to plunge one knee deep into the stone to keep from collapsing entirely.

It wasn't a standard aura. It couldn't be read, it couldn't be measured, and it couldn't be quantified by any scouter or divine sense. It felt like standing at the bottom of an infinite oceanic trench where the pressure of eternity itself was trying to crush their very souls into dust.

Posaiden didn't even look down at them. His gaze was fixed entirely on Zalama, his eyes glowing with the fierce, crackling intensity of a dying star. When he spoke, his voice did not travel through the air; it vibrated directly inside their skulls, echoing like the tolling of a universal doom bell.

"So... these are them, Dragon God?" Posaiden’s voice rumbled, heavy with a skeptical, piercing coldness. He swept a hand outward, gesturing dismissively toward the broken champions struggling against the dirt. "Indeed, they are mere Saiyans. Save for one... the gray outsider. Is he strong as well?"

Posaiden crossed his arms, the golden bands on his wrists flashing with blinding arcs of lightning.

"They had better not disappoint in the tournament arena," Posaiden warned, his tone dropping into a pitch so dark it made their blood run cold. "For if they fail, my fellow Elder Gods will demand a blood-price. They will erase one of my multiverses as punishment for my oversight... and make no mistake, mortal champions, it could easily be your multiverse marked for absolute oblivion."

Zalama lowered his massive head slightly, his eternal amber eyes remaining steady as he addressed the towering Elder God.

"My lord, they are the ones," Zalama’s voice echoed smoothly, carrying a tone of quiet assurance that cut through the crushing gravity. "They have endured quite the pain to break past their mortal limits and grow stronger. They are no joke. Let them be; they will not fail you. Remember, even their very origin source—the Dragon Balls that bound their destinies—was forged by your own ancient design."

At those words, Goku and the others were left completely slack-jawed, a fresh wave of shock piercing through their terror.

Our origin source... forged by him? Goku thought, his mind spinning wildly as he forced his head up by a fraction of an inch to stare at the glowing, emerald-clad titan above them.

The realization hung heavy in the electrified air. They weren't just random mortals pulled into a cosmic spectacle; they were tethered directly to the ancient lineage of the very god judging them right now.

The sheer pressure of Posaiden’s presence felt like an infinite gravity, a long, brutal journey with no end in sight. But as the initial wave of terror subsided, something else ignited deep within their chests. The shock faded, replaced instantly by a fierce, unyielding resolve. They now knew what an Elder God looked like, and they knew the terrifying stakes hanging over their heads.

Even the mystical, isolated realms of the primordial era were never safe from the absolute wrath and erasure of the Elder Gods. There was no safety net left. There was no retreat.

Goku slowly pushed himself up off the ground, his arms shaking, teeth bared in a fierce, wild grin as he stared down the architect of existence. Beside him, Vegeta forced himself up to his feet, his dark eyes burning with royal defiance. They were going to win this tournament—or die trying.
