Chapter 6: Children

The ripped arm from Debra Shades squirms on the ground.

BZZZZZT.

The wires of the limb buzzed with electricity from the destroyed end.

Debra was laying still on the ground.

"Is she... Dead?" Teal looks at Ryu from the distance.

"Did I kill her...?" Ryu looks pale thinking he killed her.

She stood up, her robotic legs locked straight without the knee bending, the knee not bending a single angle to left or right. She looked at Ryu menacingly.

"Oh shi—" Ryu was blown away before he could see the attack.

Dust gathered from the attack. Ryu was seen flying up in the sky scattering the dust.

The dust formed like a cloud before Teal and Van covering the area they were standing in and blocks their vision.

Teal and Van look around in panic and guarding themselves for a surprise attack. The dust from Teal's left side scattered as Debra came flying in towards him swiftly and lifts her legs to kick him using Axe kick.

Teal blocked her kick with his arm, but he sank down a bit from the pressure. Teal groaned from the pressure.

She looked at Teal blocking the attack and shifted her position by turning 360° and kicking him with her lower metallic leg amplifying it with shockwave. The shockwave blows Teal away by several meters.

Van who was on his knees unable to move watched the scene unfold accepting his fate that he is next to be blown away.

Debra looked at Van kneeling down weakly. She gives him a smirk like she was mocking his state.

Teal who was blown away, stopped himself by sliding to a halt in the mud and starts to think 'She didn't use a shockwave... it was sound, a sound coming from her metallic leg. The leg was vibrating, like a bell when it rings to make sound. She mostly made the arm vibrate so she can create a soundwave that acts as a sonic shockwave. Maybe I can do it too?'

"I just have to try vibrating it intensely." Teal exhaled and brought his hand forward like he was about to to shoot a beam. But all that came was a weak sound of his hand vibrating like a massager.

Debra charged forward swiftly towards Teal leaving dust clouds behind her.

Teal guarded himself up to brace the attack. She comes rushing catching him by his throat instead of kicking him.

He squirms with her gripping his neck tighter each second.

Something snapped inside Teal, his hear gave a loud beat almost making it out his chest. He gripped her hand which had been gripping his throat. The arm she was squeezing his throat with was not metallic so he could yank her hand away. 

His other arm, the metallic one moved forward towards her and let out a huge shockwave created from the vibration of his metallic arm.

The shockwave sent Debra flying from her position.

On the other hand Ryu had flew to the far side of the school. When up in the air he started shaking his hand and leg as if to swim in the sky as he went downwards. Tears started welling his eyes "I am going to die..." He looked at the shield in his arm "Oh i forgot I had this!" He exclaimed and positioned his shield towards the spot he was about to land and braced for the impact.

He landed, hopping off his shield and kisses it "I don't know what i would have done without you~"

His expression which was all smiley turned serious. 

"I think I should finish what i started" He started moving towards where the fight was happening.

Debra was flying to the sky. Looking at her he jumped towards her.

As she tried to go back towards Teal, Ryu came suddenly.

"Surprise!" Saying that he hit both her metallic legs with a strong force that ripped the legs apart.

She started falling down from the sky landing on her remaining part of the metallic leg.

THUD.

The dust formed a cloud around the area she fell.

Teal and Van approached her. Van was being carried by Teal as he had no strength in his legs. Ryu landed on the area of dust on his shield.

Debra was lying down looking at the sky. The hateful frown she had in her face had disappeared. 

She saw her students rounding her up and a gentle smile appeared on her face.

"Don't make a face like that..." She said looking at the defeated expression on their faces.

"I deserve this for attacking my children... I—" She starts tearing up.

Teal and Van were looking sad as they witnessed her with no limbs and only an arm intact.

Ryu was bawling his eyes out trying not to let out a single sound as he got emotional.

Debra looked at them "You did nothing wrong my children... I lost control of my body and attacked my own students. If you hadn't stopped me, my rampage would have continued harming more of my children."

Teal bit his lip hard his eyes filled with rage "Miss Shades— I promise i will find the culprit that put you through this. I will make sure they suffer a far worse hell that you went through."

Ryu's eyes sparked mirroring the same rage Teal had in his eyes but his eyes were still filled with tears "I am sorry... I will make sure they suffer." His throat gave out a restricted, choked voice

Debra looked at them with a warm and worried expression "I know... you children are sad and want to make the person who put me in this state through hell." her voice broke with a cough as she coughed up blood "But I don't want you children to do something so harsh. Revenge is like a parasite, when someone gets done with it, it finds another host. Going on about revenge only feeds that parasite, repeating the cycle of revenge over and over, making lives of people around them miserable... I want you kids to live your life..." 

She looks between Teal and Ryu at Van, who was shedding tears in silence. The words didn't come out of his mouth from the sheer despair he was feeling from the current situation.

Debra looked at Van "Don't cry my child... you were brightest and kindest of them all... don't abandon that trait of you..." She reached her hand to his cheeks.

She looked up "The sky isn't pink... I am glad... my children... are safe too... I hope it  was all my dream..."

Her hand fell down without any strength.

On that day, Debra Shades passed away surrounded by her students and not alone in her lonely home.
