Chapter 5: Ringing.

The silence stretched out making the atmosphere eerie.

A sudden burst of loud shockwave of sound, blowing everything out the office.

Teal and Van were swept up in the in the burst sends them flying out of the office.

As they flew towards the school ground, Teal looked at Van beside him but he had a wound on his temple, most likely a piece of the debris that hit his head. The blood from his temple was trickling down his face to his chin.

"VAN!!!!!" Teal screamed desperately and tried positioning himself so he can fly in Van's direction to catch him.

When he finally grasps Van he looks back at the direction they are falling. The ground nearing as he looks back. 

Teal shifts his weight, his legs positioned to the ground and gets ready for the impact, Van mumbles regaining consciousness.

Teal braces for the impact as he nears the ground.

Shockingly he lands on the ground perfectly fine without a shattered bone from his leg.

Van looked flabbergasted in Teal's arms, looking at how smooth Teal landed "How—How did you do that...?"

Teal himself looks more surprised than his friend "I—I don't know... I was prepared to get hurt..."

He looks at his legs. The skin of his left leg has vanished, revealing the metal leg skeleton with wires hugging it.

Van stood up, getting off Teal's arm. He gave a concerned look at Van "Your leg... it is also the same..."

From the dust coming from the office of the principal's office, a figure flew out scattering the dust from the force.

There she stood levitating, Debra Shades, her right arm was same as Teal's arm. The arm was metallic shining the skin torn out like something blasted through it.

She had a cold expression like she had gone through something and didn't feel anything.

She looked down at the two of them standing there "They got you too, huh?"

Teal and Van looked at her speaking about something that may be their lead "Miss Shades? You too...? You know who did this?" Van spoke looking at her state.

"Tch. Why are you both acting like tha—" She looked around seeing herself float, her arm is not a human arm.

"Those imbeciles...! What did they do? They cut my arm off and replace it with his...?"

Her head shook violently like she was getting something off her "This... Ugh... Why am i getting headache suddenly..." She started groaning louder.

Teal and Van looked at her like they are seeing a mad person throwing tantrum "Dude... I think she hit her head." Teal whispered to Van.

"Looks like it..." Van replied with a sigh.

"I heard that! You guys are acting so lax at a situation lik—" She paused looking Teal.

"Oh my God! Did they cut your arm and leg and replace them?"

Now Teal and Van were genuinely confused. She inspected his arm a moment ago and now she was asking like she saw it for the first time.

She lolled her head back in a sudden movement.

"Children... My kids..." She started weeping all of a sudden releasing a shockwave that looks too strong.

Teal held his ground, standing firmly holding Van so he doesn't get swept away by it like before.

A figure with orange hair and a lean body holding an iron shield comes before Teal and Van blocking the attack from reaching them.

"Teal. You got a body like mine too? Hahaha." He laughed energetically at Teal like he was teasing him.

"Ryu..." Teal looked at him with a relieved expression. 

"We will talk later. She went berserk huh... I feel bad that a kind person like her has to through such a fate..." His voice dropped to a low tone like he was pitying her.

With a sudden movement he jumped high where Debra was levitating.

When he reached, her mouth parted and she let out "My child..." in a low voice.

Hearing that made him flinch. In that moment of hesitation, she let out a huge shockwave to hit him, one which was stronger than the ones she used before. 

But he guarded against the attack instinctively, blowing him away towards where Teal and Van were standing.

"Ryu. Have you encountered other people like this?" Teal asked him seeing how he started fighting without hesitation.

"There are others?" Ryu replied in a dumbfounded by the question as he coughed some blood from his mouth.

"This dumbass just barged in without thinking. And where did you even find that shield?" Van looked up at Ryu from the spot he was in on his knees.

"This shield? I created it." He gives a smirk.

Another shockwave came towards them. Ryu guards again. After the shockwave grew weaker Ryu jumped back again and hit her with a shield making sure he hits the metallic arm and not her flesh directly.

The impact sends her flying to the far end of the ground opposite to the spot Teal and Van had been.

She gets up standing, her both legs were used to withstand the impact of hitting the ground. The legs in her skin ripped apart by the force revealing the metallic leg. 

The dust gathered around the area of impact blocking her vision.

Cutting through the dust, the shield comes flying through and hit her legs. The shield returned to him making a screeching sound.

"This feels like I am a superhero." He comes back running hitting her metal arms with the shield "Sorry Miss Shades," rips the arm of with the force he hit.
