Chapter 11: Scientist

They start walking towards the entrance of the building after entering the gate.

The building looked like an old house, built maybe around 50-60 years ago. It was broken here and there maybe because it was old, making it difficult to live there.

"How does that guy live here. Its impossible to leave under the circumstances of this house." Van started talking, while looking at the house calmly.

The three keep walking. Suddenly Teal's leg sunk to a hole covered in soft wet mud.

"What the—" He took his leg out covered in the mud.

"Did it rain today?" Ryu had a fearful expression, his eyes wide, like he had seen a ghost.

"Wha—" Van was cut off by the shadow looming in the ground.

When Teal and Van looked back at where Ryu was staring, A mechanical robot standing tall looked at them.

The robot was huge and wide. Not quite looking like human, it had a figure of a golem.

The giant mechanical golem swung it's hand at them.

Ryu and Teal dodged while dragging Van with them.

"RYU WHAT THE HELL!?" Teal let out a loud shout.

They all started running to the gate.

"I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THIS!! MY FATHER SENT US REMEMBER?" Ryu ran huffing while catching Van's hand.

SKREEEEE.

The gate closed automatically leaving them no route to run.

They stop skidding on the mud, nowhere left to run.

[Umm.. Hello hello. Can hear me?]

A loud voice, like an announcement announces in a microphone was heard coming from the golem.

[Ahem. So sorry about the the hand swing.]

"Is that guy seriously apologizing after almost killing us." Teal groaned looking at the golem doing some strange movements.

The golem started dashing towards them in a sudden movement.

"Shit. He is still attacking. Was that voice to distract us?" Ryu stepped forward.

"Leave it to me." He brought his arm forward. His palm making a sound like charging up, a straight line of light shot from his hand pierced the head of the golem, blasting the head off.

The golem fell forward scattering dust.

"Woah... It sure is a good ability." Ryu looked surprised by his own power.

The back of the golem ejected a door.

A figure looking like human came from the place the ejected door was present.

Teal rushed using his soundwave grabbing the person by his collar.

Teal's eyes were full of rage. It didn't seem like the rage was from the attack earlier. 'He is the reason. He is the reason I am in this state, also one who put Miss Shades through that.'

Van knew why Teal was angry and shouted from the distance he was in "Teal! What happened to the "Drop the revenge idea"? Ryu you expla—"

Turning to Ryu was pointless. His eyes were the mirror image of what Teal's eyes were displaying.

"You both have gone insane... What about Miss Shade's words, man... I thought you guys understood it more than me... Was it all a tough act...?"

Teal's jaw tightened, with a click of his tongue he released the man's collar.

The man fell to the ground on his back. He got up hitting the dust off him.

Ryu and Van approached them, climbing up the mechanical golem.

"You... Who are you?" Ryu asked with a demanding tone.

"Ahem. So let me introduce myself. I am Theo, Theo Kapoor. I am a scientist who researches on robotics. Aren't you Mister Satoshi's son?"

The frown in Ryu's face grew more fierce "Why did you do all that experiments, harming others just for the sake of your revenge..."

"My experiments are public? Which company started spreading rumors I was experimenting by harming humans."

Teal grabbed his collar again "Listen here Threo Kapur. We know what you did. These limbs, we know you are the one who did it." Teal showed his mechanical arm.

"Oh my god. Who did this masterpiece..." Theo's eyes shined with excitement.

The excitement in his eyes fueled their anger

"Teal let me handle this dumbass."

Van got between Theo, Teal and Ryu "Stop it."

Van turned to Theo "Tell me. Do you know anything about this arm."

"No. I am seeing it for the first time... I saw you in the television the other day, the day you won the junior genius championship... But I didn't know you had such talent that you could recreate a whole arm and make it function as an arm."

Van looked surprised "You can tell just by looking at the arm once?"

"Guys. He is not the guy we are looking for."

"How do you know, genius." Ryu glared at Van like he was about to beat him up.

"I know. It may seem like he may be the one because you heard it, and you heard it from ME I didn't say he was the one who did all this. I said he maybe the one. You guys don't even listen to me."

The expression of anger in Teal's and Ryu's face vanishes. The look at each other dumbfounded "You barged in at him so I thought maybe he was the guy." "I barged at him because he said he is the one, and he even attacked us."

"Umm sorry about that. This golem is a prototype so I was just testing it out. But I made some wiring mistakes. So when I pressed for waving it started sweeping it's hand at you."

"What about the second time after you announced in your microphone."

"Oh that... The microphone was a cheap one so it stopped in the middle of me talking to you. And the dash forward... Well... The wiring of the walk and dash were exchanged..." He scratched his head in embarrassed.

"Yeah. I am sure this dude can't be the one creating a flawless arm when he misplaces the wires of a robot." Ryu looked at Theo with disappointment.

"Wait. Theo Kapoor? You are like one of the genius in robotics! You even won award for being a genius in robotics!" Van jumped in excitement after realizing who the person before him was.
