Maid of honor
MAID OF HONOR
Walking a Friend Down the Aisle, Walking Herself to Her Death.
Sekar, an innocent village girl, moves to Jakarta with simple dreams and a pure heart.
Luckily, she has Gladis, her close friend—a wealthy city girl who always stands up for her.
In this cruel city, Sekar found the love of her life, a sincere and cheerful “odd-job worker.”
At the same time, Gladis was over the moon because she had just been proposed to by her boyfriend, a successful young entrepreneur who was “perfect and loyal.”
The two friends were swept up in happiness. Sekar enthusiastically accepted the most honorable role: serving as Maid of Honor at Gladis’s lavish wedding.
From handling the catering and selecting vendors to accompanying her to dress fittings, Sekar did it all for her best friend’s happiness.
Laughter filled every moment of the preparations, though they didn’t realize they were dancing on thorns.
All that laughter came crashing down on the big day, inside the bridal waiting room.
When the door opened, Sekar froze in her tracks. The man in the lavish wedding suit standing before her was no stranger.
It was Rama, the man who had been dating both of them simultaneously—all calculated through a neat Excel spreadsheet formula.
In an instant, the wedding altar turned into the greatest stage of confrontation of all time. The land crocodile’s layered betrayal was completely exposed.
However, when the truth demanded its price, the heartbreak drove Sekar to run blindly into the street, turning her white bridesmaid’s dress crimson with blood.
A tragic ending that left those left behind
with a lifetime of regret.
