Love On Trial
They were once married. They were once in love. Then a misunderstanding destroyed everything.
Two years after their divorce, Anneth Laurent and Leonard Hayes reunite in a courtroom—this time as opposing attorneys standing on opposite sides of the same case.
Anneth represents the family of Victoria Lancaster, the daughter of a powerful tycoon who was found dead in her apartment.
Leonard defends Ethan Miller, a food delivery driver who has become the prime suspect because he was the last person known to have seen Victoria before her death.
To the police, the case seems straightforward.
To Leonard, it isn't.
And for Anneth, everything changes when she discovers a mysterious message on the victim's phone.
"Get rid of the baby before it's too late."
Victoria was pregnant.
From that moment on, Anneth and Leonard begin uncovering too many lies to keep believing that Ethan is the killer.
The problem is that every new clue draws them deeper into the Lancaster family's darkest secrets—and slowly drags them back into the past they've spent years trying to forget.
Because someone knows the real reason Anneth and Leonard got divorced.
Someone who might also know what really happened to Victoria that night.
And when two former spouses are forced to work together to solve a murder, they must confront a problem that has never appeared in any case file:
They're still in love with each other.
Only this time, they'll have to prove it without breaking each other's hearts all over again.
