Chapter 20-22 - It seeks Answers from Dad & Amy
Chapter 20 - It seeks Answers from Dad
“It has questions for It’s summoner.”
“Of course. Dad’ll do anything for Thia. What’s up?”
“What does It’s summoner Want most in life? What does It’s summoner imagine for It’s summoner’s future? What is It’s summoner’s perception of Self?”
“Whoa, slow down. Slow down. Can you write those down? Dad can’t remember all that at once.”
“It presents the form to It’s summoner.”
“…Ahh, career questionnaire. Gotcha.”
“It reiterates: ‘What does It’s summoner Want most in life? What does It’s summoner imagine for It’s summoner’s future? What is It’s summoner’s perception of Self?’”
“What dad wants most in life is for Thia to be happy.”
“Understood.”
“Dad’s future… dad will continue doing everything he can so that Thia grows up into a happy and healthy adult.
“Understood.”
“Dad’s perception of self is… being your dad!”
“Understood.”
“So? How was it? Were dad’s answers helpful at all?”
“It will now find Amy.”
Chapter 21 - It seeks Answers from Amy
“Oh, thank god. I’m so relieved.”
“It does not like to be touched.”
“Right... Sorry..."
“It accepts the premise. Continue.”
"...These past few days... I’ve been feeling really insecure. About me. About you. About everything.”
“It accepts the premise. Continue.”
“Seeing you get along with everybody... I thought... I thought maybe you didn’t need me any more. That you were finally okay by yourself now... And that... that you didn’t want me around any more. And then... this whole time. This whole time, you never... you never asked me the same questions that you asked everyone else. So I thought... I—I thought... I thought I wasn’t important to you any more. Or something.”
“Amy is important to It.”
“I was... I was so jealous, Thia. So jealous you couldn’t believe. So jealous that I wanted to eat every single person that talked to you just so I could have whatever they had... whatever thing it was that made you want to talk to them. But I... I didn’t want to get in your way. I... didn’t want to be the one that held you back from finding answers for yourself..."
“Clarify: jealousy is the fear that that which belongs to you will be stolen by others?”
“I know... I’m so stupid. You’re not mine. You don’t belong to me. I don’t... I shouldn’t be jealous.”
“Correct. Amy should not be jealous, because It cannot be stolen from Amy.”
“But I want to... so badly, I want to. I want the right to be jealous. I want to have you, and keep you, and lock you away in the safest vault so that nobody can ever take you. I want to give you everything you ever need—everything you ever want—just so that you wouldn’t ever have to leave me. I want to be jealous. Because if I could be jealous... that... that would mean that you’re mine.”
“Understood.”
"...Why did... why did you wait so long to come ask me?”
“Amy suggested that It should ask the people It knew at School.”
“Mhm..."
“It knew Amy before School.”
"...That’s... okay. Fair enough..."
“It decided by It’s Self to ask It’s Summoner.”
“Aww. Yeah? Dad must have been super happy.”
“It confirms. Next, It decided by It’s Self to ask Amy.”
“I... was—I’m... super happy, too.”
“It asked Amy last because Amy is the most important person to It.”
"...Hah... ha... hahaha... ha... I’m so... hah..."
“It reiterates: ‘what does Amy want most in life? What does Amy imagine for Amy’s future? What is Amy’s perception of Self?’”
"..."
“It Wants to hear Amy’s thoughts.”
“For my perception of self... I think I’ve come up with... I’m... me. I’m just me. I’ll always be myself, whatever that means. Whatever that might look like to other people.”
“Understood.”
“For my future... that’s... that’s not as clear.”
“Understood.”
"...Hey, Thia. What do you think about comedians?”
“It believes that comedy is of Overall Benefit. Therefore comedians, who grant comedy, are in tune with the Divine.”
"...Wait, seriously? Comedy is divine? Thia, 99% of comedians are for sure going to hell.”
“Hell contains Divinity.”
“Hah..."
“It understands comedy to be: half Truths which reveal greater Truths. The process of transformation from one Truth to another Truth creates joy. Joy is an Overall Benefit; nothing is lost in the transformation of Truth. That which creates Overall Benefit from nothing is Divine.”
“Jesus Christ, Thia.”
“It relents that both Jesus Christ and Thia could be considered comedians.”
"..."
“It Wants to know what Amy is thinking.”
“I'm not falling for that trap again.”
"It relents.”
“What if... I said that I wanted to be a comedian?”
“It supports any decision Amy makes.”
“Hkkhhhhh... That’s so unfair, Thia.”
“Incorrect.”
“Okay, fine. You're too good for this world.”
“Incorrect. It is Just.”
“Gah. Anyways. I was thinking of becoming a comedian.”
“It believes comedy is a way to manifest the 'super power' Amy Wanted.”
♢♢♢
“Okay, but what if I said I wanted to be a writer?”
“Writing is also Divine.”
“Okay, yeah yeah. Creating something from nothing.”
“Correct. The transformation of lived Truth to written Truth creates tangible knowledge. A great many Overall Benefits arise from tangible knowledge.”
—
“Poet?”
“Divine.”
—
“Rapper?”
“Divine.”
—
“Song writer?”
—
“Playwright?”
—
“Politician?”
“It refuses.”
"...Yeah, fair enough.”
—
“Movie director?”
“Divine.”
—
“Author?”
“Divine.”
—
“Dinosaur?”
“Extinct.”
♢♢♢
“Thia, what do you think I should do? I’ve thought about it, but there’s so many things I want to be. So many things I could see myself doing. Uh. Except politician. That was a trick question.”
“Understood.”
“Can I hear your thoughts?”
“It thinks Amy would enjoy exploring the presentation and transformation of Truth throughout the duration of Amy’s lifetime. A day will come when Amy discovers Amy's own Truth. But every venture into the realm of Truth is Divine. Amy will have no loss and yet Amy will grant Overall Benefit to a great many people with each attempt. That is what It foresees in the future of Amy.”
"..."
“It wonders what is on Amy's mind?”
“I was... thinking about the last question. About... about... what I want.”
“It listens.”
“I love you, Thia.”
“It accepts the premise. Continue.”
“I want you to be mine. Forever.”
“It refuses. No Price can afford Forever.”
"...Then can you be mine until death do us part?”
“What Price will Amy offer It in return?”
“I will be yours until death do us part.”
“The Task and Price are Just. It accepts the Terms.”
Chapter 22 - It completes an assignment
“Thia, have you filled out the career questionnaire?”
“It has.”
“And have you found out the answers to the questions you were looking for?”
“It still does not know the Truth of It’s Self.”
“That’s okay. I think as long as you keep trying your hardest to look, that’s all anyone can ask.”
“Understood.”
“How about your wants and your future? Have you figured those out?”
“It Wants to be with Amy and It’s summoner, Dad, from now until the future, for as long as they live.”
"...For now, I think that’s plenty.”
“Understood.”
“A-plus, Thia. I’ve seen how hard you’ve been working on this. Everyone’s seen how hard you’ve been working. All that effort to go the extra mile... to push yourself to do so many things that you’ve never done before. It’s a beautiful thing, Thia, seeing you warm up to everybody like this. I think you’ve really grown a lot. I’m proud of you.”
“It accepts the premise. Continue.”
“After the next assignment.”
