CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO — THE DREAM

Years passed.

David graduated from university.

He had become the engineer he had always dreamed of becoming.

Marilyn had also graduated.

She was now working as a journalist.

They were both chasing their dreams.

But success brought new challenges.

David received an opportunity to work in another country.

It was the biggest opportunity of his life.

There was only one problem.

He would have to leave again.

He called Marilyn.

“I have news.”

“Good or bad?”

“Good.”

“Then why do you sound sad?”

“I'm leaving.”

She became silent.

“For how long?”

“Two years.”

Neither of them spoke.

Two years sounded like forever.
