One afternoon, I saw Marilyn laughing with Matovu.
I became angry.
“What's so funny?” I asked.
She looked at me.
“What happened to you?”
“Nothing.”
“You're acting strangely.”
“I'm fine.”
She sighed.
“You don't look fine.”
“Maybe you should go back to Matovu.”
Silence.
Her smile disappeared.
“What does that mean?”
“Nothing.”
“No. Say it.”
I couldn't.
She walked away.
That night, I couldn't sleep.
I replayed the scene in my mind.
Like a movie.
Only this time, I hated the scene.
I wished I could rewind it.
But life doesn't have a rewind button.
