Chapter 19 — A Warrior Dies

The star-metal arena trembled under the sheer density of God Killer Goku’s presence. Standing tall, cold, and calculative, his violet-silver hair swayed slightly in the vacuum winds of the divine stage. His crimson eyes swept across the grand thrones of the Elder Gods, pausing briefly on Hera before shifting toward the imposing seats of the ruling pantheon. A dry, humorless smirk touched the edge of his lips.

"So, these are all the Elder Gods besides Hera, huh?" God Killer Goku muttered, his voice echoing with an eerie, metallic resonance that carried across every tier of the coliseum. "They're no joke, alright... but let's see if their champions can back up their godhood."

He stood waiting in the center of the ring, his arms uncrossed now, resting loosely at his sides as an aura of silent annihilation radiated from his skin.

Hades wasted no time. Rising slightly from his abyssal throne, a dark, chilling smile spread across his face as he threw his arm forward toward the staging grounds.

"My fellow warrior, come forth to the stage!" Hades commanded, his voice dripping with absolute certainty.

A surge of golden-white divine light erupted from the teleporter runes, and with a heavy thud that cracked the star-metal flooring, a new figure vaulted onto the arena. It was a Saiyan—though unfamiliar even to the sharp eyes of the viewers watching from afar. He possessed the sharp, defiant facial structure of Vegeta combined with the unyielding, spiked-up hairstyle of Goku. A fusion born of a different reality, standing tall with an aura of supreme confidence.

It was Vegeku.

Vegeku dusted off his shoulders, his dark eyes scanning the arena until they locked onto the violet-haired entity standing across from him. Mistaking him for a standard variant of his eternal rival, Vegeku let out a proud, cocky smirk.

"Kakarot?" Vegeku spoke, tilting his head with an amused grin. "Never thought I’d have to battle a half-self version of us. Guess even in other timelines, you manage to find trouble."

Far away in the starlight sea of Poseidon’s domain, the real Goku gasped, his eyes widening in pure shock. "W-what?! Who is that?! Another fusion of me and Vegeta?!"

Beside him, Vegeta gritted his teeth, his fists clenching so tightly his knuckles turned white. "Tch. A fusion... of us? How pathetic that they have to merge just to stand in that ring."

Back in the coliseum, God Killer Goku didn’t even flinch. His expression remained a mask of absolute, chilling indifference. He stared at the newly arrived fusion as if looking at a pathetic insect crawling across his path.

"If you're done flapping your gums," God Killer Goku interrupted, his voice flat and devoid of any emotion, "come at me anytime. Transform into your full power right now... otherwise, you'll regret not doing it before you die."

Vegeku’s amusement faded, replaced by a sudden flash of irritation. "Hah! Cocky bastard. You think because you wear a different vest you're a god? I'll show you what a true fusion can do!"

Vegeku screamed, throwing his head back as an explosive pillar of white-hot Ki erupted into the heavens. The ground beneath his feet shattered into powder as his hair lengthened and spiked furiously, thick golden eyebrows vanishing as heavy lightning crakled around his body. He had jumped straight into Super Saiyan 3, his power shaking the foundations of the dimension.

He dropped into his combat stance, muscles bulging with immense, raw pressure.

Yet, God Killer Goku didn't even move. He remained completely calm and cold, slowly folding his arms across his chest. He looked at the raging Super Saiyan 3 fusion with the mild, dismissive curiosity of a grown man watching a toddler play in the dirt.

"Is that it?" God Killer Goku sighed, his tone mocking. "Disappointing."

"Die!" Vegeku roared, unwilling to stomach the disrespect.

In a fraction of a millisecond, Vegeku vanished, bursting forward with world-shattering speed. He closed the distance instantly, unleashing a devastating right hook aimed straight at God Killer Goku’s jaw.

Clang!

The impact sounded less like flesh hitting flesh and more like a meteor colliding with a titanium wall. God Killer Goku caught Vegeku’s fist effortlessly with a single, bare palm. He hadn't even uncrossed his arms fully; he had merely shifted his elbow.

Vegeku’s eyes bulged in absolute disbelief. "What?!"

Before Vegeku could retract his fist, God Killer Goku countered with a blindingly fast headbutt. The shockwave blasted outward, creating a massive atmospheric ring that blew away the surrounding clouds. Vegeku was sent hurtling backward across the arena, skidding hundreds of feet before digging his heels into the scorched earth.

"Tch... damn it!" Vegeku gasped, blood trickling down his forehead. "His speed... it's like he's already anticipated every move I've made!"

Without giving him a second to breathe, God Killer Goku flicked his wrist. The air fractured. Suddenly, hundreds of crimson energy spheres materialized behind him, humming with volatile destructive power.

"Kikoha Rain," God Killer Goku muttered lazily.

With a casual sweep of his hand, the barrage rained down like a meteor shower of pure annihilation. Vegeku grit his teeth, raising his arms into a cross guard as explosions swallowed the entire sector of the stage. The impact zone turned into a blazing inferno of smoke, dust, and scorched star-metal.

When the smoke finally cleared, Vegeku was kneeling on one knee, his chest heaving violently. His Super Saiyan 3 form flickered and violently shattered, forcing him back down into his base state due to the sheer trauma inflicted on his fused body.

"Damn... he's not just strong," Vegeku wheezed, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the charred ground. "He's operating on a completely different dimension of power."

Realizing base form wouldn't cut it, Vegeku forced his broken body upward, screaming as a fiery crimson aura flared around him. He pushed past his limits, bursting into the Super Saiyan God transformation. Brilliant red hair and a godlike, crimson-flamed aura illuminated his bruised face.

"I won't fall here!" Vegeku shouted, charging forward once more in a desperate final blitz, throwing a flurry of punches infused with divine godly Ki.

God Killer Goku sidestepped every single strike with terrifying, effortless grace. He looked entirely bored, yawning slightly as Vegeku swung wildly. To God Killer Goku, this warrior was never interesting, never a challenge, and certainly not worth wasting another second on.

"You're a waste of time," God Killer Goku whispered, his crimson eyes flashing with cold intent.

He raised his hand, extending two fingers directly toward Vegeku’s chest. A thick, ominous purple-black sphere of energy materialized at his fingertips, distorting the space around it and devouring the light within the arena.

Vegeku froze mid-air, a sudden, primal terror gripping his soul as he stared at the technique. It wasn't just Ki. It was the absolute authority of erasure.

God Killer Goku opened his mouth, his voice dropping to a low, chilling whisper that silenced the entire coliseum.

"Hakai."

The purple beam pierced straight through Vegeku’s chest before the fusion could even react. There was no massive explosion, no lingering shockwave—just a sudden, terrifying silence as the divine erasure engulfed Vegeku’s entire body from the inside out.

Vegeku looked down at his hands as they began to turn into glittering purple dust, dissolving into nothingness. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. His fierce expression softened into one of haunting realization.

"Kakarot..." Vegeku managed to whisper into the wind, before his entire existence was wiped completely from reality, leaving behind only an empty arena and the heavy, suffocating weight of death.
